Black G10 Fr4 Sheet Laminates natural black red white.  We deal directly with a local manufacturer and we buy in bulk. This enables us to keep good stock and keep our prices very competitive.

We only stock FR4 – G10 only appears to allow google to find us better.  

The coloured sheets we have made to order. We have good stock of black in 0.3, 0.5, 1, 1.6, 2.0, 2.4, 3, 4 & 5mm and a smaller amount of 1.6mm in white and red.

Our stock of natural Fr4 is slight more better 0.4, 0.8, 1.0, 1.6, 2.0, 2.4, 3.0, 4.0 and 5.0mm

We purchase the sheets at 1220 x 915 mm and trim them down in-house on a CNC machine.

FR4 – G10 Sheet Laminates natural black red white

1. 200 x 300 mm
2. 300 x 400 mm
3. 450 x 600 mm  –  Read the notes below

We purchase 1220 x 915mm sheets and cut them down to size.  We are not really geared up to dispatch sheets this size but can if required.  Please call if you require this or a larger size than listed within our web store

450 x 600 mm Sized Sheets

The 450 x 600 sized sheets have to be dispatched using Parcel Force, as they are too large for Royal Mail.  The only problem with this is the collection is at 3pm, so if you order after 2.00pm your order will get shipped the next day, and if ordered on a Friday that means you will not get your delivery until the following Tuesday as Parcel Force do not deliver over the weekend.  

As we only use 1st Class post that means you should get it the next day, as long as your sheet size is pre-cut and in stock.

This is mainly due to the fact that they are easy to post within tough cardboard packets.

Other sheet sizes available upon request, bigger, smaller and other dimensions.

Sheet thickness tolerance up to +/- 10%.  If thickness is vital, please contact us and we can measure the currant batch.

Our Fr4 / G10 in UNCLAD (it has no copper).

Our laminate material is a standard thermo-laminated glass epoxy material. It constructed from woven fiberglass cloth with a resin binder. The FR stands for flame retardant.

The colour is solid all the way through the material. So if you cut it the edge will be them same as the sheet colour.

If within our web shop you see low stock of a size, it does not mean we do not have a good stock of the larger sheets. You can always call us to check.

We offer discounts when purchasing more than 3 sheets of any one size and thickness. This is automatically applied at the check-out.

FR4 is used for most of out flat parts and assemblies.

FR4 and G10 are very similar materials, put side by side you would not be able to tell the difference. They have the same strength, weight and look the same. FR4 is Fire Retardant – G10 is not.

Although we may only show a relatively low number of small sheets available in stock, we hold a larger amount of FR4 in much larger sheet sizes. These are cut down as required, so if you wish to order a larger amount than that shown, its would not normally be a problem. You can also contact us beforehand if concerned.

All of our Fr4 sheets are classes as “industrial laminates” and not “cosmetic finished panels” so some sheets may have slight surface imperfections, though generally the surface finish is totally flat and imperfection free.

G10 / Fr4 VS carbon Fibre

• G10 / Fr4 is heavier then Carbon of the same thickness
• G10 / Fr4 Isn’t as stiff as Carbon of the same thickness
• G10 / Fr4 Is Cheaper
• G10 /Fr4 will not block radio / RF signal
• G10 / Fr4 will flex more before it breaks
• G10 / Fr4 doesn’t conduct electricity (something to consider also)
• G10 / Fr4 according to knife makers the G10 /Fr4 scales feels and polishes up better

NOTE FR4 Thickness:- FR4 is manufactured to a tolerance with regards its thickness. If you require an exact thickness for a project please call before ordering. Thickness size can be +/-10% of the thickness listed in the main description.

However we normally find that the thickness is +/- 10%

This of course makes a greater difference the thicker you purchase. Other Companies do not list this detail, as many customers would be happy with an extra thickness. The governing standard is the International Electro-technical Commission (IEC) 60893-3-3 Technical Specification – Insulating Materials – Industrial rigid laminated sheets based on thermosetting resins for electrical purposes.

In the video the G10 and carbon gets bashed with a large hammer, an axe, burnt, attacked with a large knife, put in a punch press and shot with a cross bow

Please note there are using G10 and NOT FR4.  Fr4 is made with fire retardant resin so it will not burn like the G10 shown in the video

We have our sheets made directly working with the manufacturer. Our sheets are not imported for the far East or other remote places. They are produced very close to home, the UK, that’s why we can guarantee the quality and the delivery date.

If placing an order for a large number of sheets or sheets larger than 450 x 600mm. From placing an order to delivery to our store is normally 7 days, quicker if its in stock with them.

Warning – DUST:- If you are going to cut this product yourself ensure that your protect yourself against the dust that will be generated. We highly recommend that your wear a correctly rated half mask respirator. Protective respiratory masks comply to EN149:2001

FFP1 Total inward leakage 22% Filtering Efficiency 78%

FFP2 Total inward leakage 8% Filtering Efficiency 92%

FFP3 Total inward leakage 2% Filtering Efficiency 98% (N100 Equivalent)

This means that an FFP3 Respirator Mask would filter out at least 98% of the airborne repairable particles, whereas an FFP1 Respirator Mask would filter out at least 78% of the repairable particles. FFP3 Respirator Masks are therefore most efficient respiratory masks in filtering out fine particles including viruses, mould spores & asbestos. Therefore ensure that you purchase a good fitting FFP3 Mask.

Dust & Sharp Edges

Black Fr4 G10 G9 GRP Glass Epoxy Fiberglass Sheets.  Fr4,  G10,  Carbon Fiber and other tough laminates that we sell is  cut / milled upon a CNC router of wet saw.  In this process dust is created.  We do our up most to remove the dust via washing.

Care must be taken when handling these product and you must ensure to protect yourself against dust and any sharp edge, by wearing a suitable respirator / dust mask and gloves.
