Hugo –
This is on the whole a nicely designed mount which does what it supposed to. I like the fact that it couples to the aircraft’s jello rubbers and that it is possible to add tie wraps through the rubbers without affecting the way the camera sits in the mount. I also like the fact that the mount has slots for a battery straps which all works fine.
The one problem with this mount is that it is also designed to accommodate an front to back elastic band to secure the camera. This is OK, but unfortunately means that should there be a front on impact, the rear tag is pefectly shaped and position to punch a nice sized hold in the front of the lipo. I will be taking a saw to mine to remove this.
As far a the order process went it was pretty dissapointing. There was no email to say the item had been shipped, just confirmation at the time of ordering that the order had been received. I was then charged £4.60 for delivery and yet had to wait a full week before it arrived.
